About Epic Lake Day
Private water sports experiences on Lake Wakatipu, built around one simple idea: every group deserves their own boat, their own captain, and their own unforgettable day.
Our Story
Epic Lake Day was born from a love of wake sports and the stunning waters of Lake Wakatipu. We operate the only commercial Centurion Ri245 in New Zealand — the official towboat of the World Wake Surfing Championship — because we believe the quality of the wave matters just as much as the scenery.
Every session is a private charter. No strangers, no shared time slots, no rushing. Your group gets the entire boat, a professional captain, all equipment, and as many attempts as you want to catch your first wave — or perfect your hundredth.
What We Stand For
Safety First
Coast Guard certified, life jackets for all ages, experienced captain at the helm. We never compromise on safety.
Private Experiences
Every booking is a private charter. Your group, your pace, your day. No strangers on board.
Year-Round Operation
Lake Wakatipu doesn't freeze. We run sessions through winter with heated facilities and full wetsuits provided.
All Skill Levels
From first-timers to experienced riders, ages 5 to 75. We tailor every session to your group's abilities.
The Centurion Ri245
Our Centurion Ri245 is purpose-built for wake sports. It produces a clean, customisable wave that works for beginners learning to surf and experts throwing aerials. With a capacity of up to 12 guests and a premium sound system, it's as much about the vibe as the riding.
